Who I Work With

I work with a wide variety of people who want to

  • take charge of their health
  • free themselves from symptoms and conditions that are diminishing the quality of their lives
  • get excellent information and expert coaching on how to do it

Are some of these statements true for you?

  • I want to take charge of my health because I am increasingly concerned about the increasing risk and cost of medical treatment.
  • I want to take charge of my health because nobody else is getting it right.
  • My doctor is into prescribing drugs to mask symptoms and doesn’t seem to be interested in finding what is causing the symptoms. I believe there are causes for my symptoms and I want to remove the cause rather than suppressing the symptoms.
  • I want a relationship with a doctor who respects me as an intelligent adult who has information he/she needs to give me the best care and has the responsibility to participate in the decision process for my treatment.
  • I’d really like to find someone who is qualified and interested in teaching me how to become a specialist in my own health care.
  • I want to use natural remedies and health enhancers whenever possible but I’m overwhelmed by the flood of claims, counterclaims, information, misinformation and disinformation that is always coming at me. I need someone who has the knowledge and experience to help me separate the help from the hype and tell me which brands of supplements are safe, reliable, and economical.
  • I’m concerned about the high costs of prescription drugs and the increasing risks of serious side effects. I don’t like taking a drug, getting a side effect that has to be managed with another drug, which has side effects, which require another drug. There has to be a better way.
  • I’ve been depressed for a long time and am on an antidepressant. It helps the depression but I hate feeling emotionally and sexually numb. I don’t think my depression is due to a Prozac deficiency. I want help to find out what is causing it and how I can free myself from the cause, the depression, and the drug.
  • I’m sixty something and concerned that my memory and mental sharpness aren’t what they once were. Nursing homes are OK to visit but I wouldn’t want to live there. I want to know what I can do now to have my best chance of getting my mind sharp and clear again and keeping it that way until my last breath.

You are likely to be successful working with me if

  • You love to learn and particularly to learn how to take charge of your health so that your vitality, health, and joy in living greatly increase.
  • You are willing to do whatever it takes to accomplish this.
  • You enjoy working with a coach in a spirit of equality, mutual respect, teamwork and cooperation, somewhat like a quarterback and a coach work together.
  • You want to take primary responsibility for your health. I gladly take my part of that responsibility and fully support you in taking charge of your health but, if you are looking for a doctor who will just prescribe a pill and all you have to do is swallow it, I’m not for you.
  • You have a strong desire to be the best you can be: body, mind, and spirit. I love to coach people who have that desire and go for it.
